Baseball Family

Will's dream of playing baseball finally came true this month! Mark & I enrolled him in T-Ball and he is loving every second of it! He's still learning of course, he's only 4 years old, but he's giving it his all. I've never been so proud of him. He has his moments of "this is so boring" and other moments of "I've got this." It's exciting to see him excel at something that he has always enjoyed doing. He's in his element!

My family is just as excited as we are about Will playing t-ball. Recently while visiting my parents, my Mom took out some old photos of relatives from long ago who played on baseball teams in the 1930's. One was even scouted by the St. Louis Cardinals! Which so happens to be our favorite baseball team!

My husband played baseball for many years and I know Will gets his love of the sport directly from his Daddy. But its also runs deeper than that, on my side as well. So when I say we are a baseball family...we really are a baseball family! Pretty exciting stuff for us to learn. Now, play ball!

This pretty much sums it up, what 4 years and T-Ball is all about!

Although we are not related to Roger Maris, he did play ball with several
of my relatives and even dated a cousin of mine!

Many of my relatives are pictured here with their local team, Hubingers.
